The single most
important tool we possess is the ability to feel, and most importantly, to feel
gratitude. When I become still, I understand that my breath is the reason
I am having any experience at all, and then my breath naturally deepens.
Imagine a world in which everyone is taking a deep breath.
While
practicing yoga postures most certainly will bring strength to the body, yoga,
in essence, is a means for transformation. While an aspect of yoga IS
exercise, it is inherently an exercise in awareness. When we move with
consciousness, we find that we are more than our bodies, and the first signs of
peace arise, like a tender, sapling tree. Peace for the world begins with
peace within ourselves. This understanding is at the core of what Deep
Roots Yoga & Healing Arts is about.
